Kolkata Chapter

AYUDH Kolkata distributed sweets and some study materials to 70 poor families in the slums of Rampur as part of Amma’s Birthday Celebrations. Volunteers went door to door and distributed the kits to families. The children were especially delighted to receive the sweets, and the families were grateful for seeing the youth interacting with them and knowing their problems and needs.

AYUDH Kolkata organized ASWAS (AYUDHians Spreading Warmth And Smiles), the Winter Clothing Drive in Kolkata with the noble aim of bringing warmth to those in need. The collected winter wears were generously given to Old Age homes at #Behala, embodying the spirit of care and compassion.

The AYUDHians, driven by the values of service, visited the Old Age homes, where they not only distributed winter wear but also spent quality time with the residents. The shared moments were filled with joy, prayers and bhajans creating an atmosphere of happiness.

AYUDH Kolkata organized Youth Camp reaching the youth at the vibrant city of West Bengal to provide a platform for young people to connect, share ideas, and explore their potential to serve the society. These camps are held in various cities of India, bringing together participants from different walks of life for learning spiritual values and fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose to serve.

AYUDH Kolkata immersed in the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita through an online Gita Jayanti event. The session unfolded with a soulful Satsang by Swami Vijayamritananda Puri, MA Math in charge of Kolkata, delving into the life lessons from the Gita specifically tailored for the youth with an interesting Q&A session. Swami quoted real life examples which was a reminder for the youth that a value-based life and alone can bring ultimate peace and happiness and how Gita can help them to do so. The event also featured an engaging Bhagavad Gita quiz with an inspiring talk by Bri Niseema.

There was an inspirational talk by Dr G.V Subrahmanian, Director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kolkata & Agartala on ‘Youth Wellness through Sanatana Dharma’ which shed light on the importance of mental health and well-being in today's fast-paced world and how Sanatana Sharma practices helps the youngsters to achieve it.

On the first Day of AYUDH Self-Management Internship Programme (ASIP) at Kolkata, AYUDHians symbolically depicted this. Each participant lighted a Diya and prayed to Amma that the light of goodness, the light of Dharma, the light of knowledge that dispels the darkness of ignorance in their lives.

Amma says,"If you are able to remove
someone's sorrow, even for a second
you receive life's blessings".
Practicing Amma’s teachings in their life, AYUDHians at Kolkata celebrated our beloved Amma's birthday with the children residing at the slum of Sampa Mirza Nagar Colony, Rampur.
