AYUDH Kolkata celebrated Amma's Birthday

AYUDH Kolkata celebrated Amma's Birthday

AYUDH Kolkata distributed sweets and some study materials to 70 poor families in the slums of Rampur as part of Amma’s Birthday Celebrations. Volunteers went door to door and distributed the kits to families. The children were especially delighted to receive the sweets, and the families were grateful for seeing the youth interacting with them and knowing their problems and needs.

One family member shared their love by saying that they feel more hopeful about the future seeing youth engaged in caring for poor families. They said that the current generation gives them confidence that the whole community will be in good hands.

This initiative had a positive impact on both the families and the volunteers. The families were able to enjoy delicious snacks and be a part of Amma's birthday celebration. AYUDH volunteer, Tomoghno Banerjee mentioned, “As we lead a sedentary lifestyle where we are focused on ourselves these activities act as seva to the nation.”

AYUDH coordinator of Kolkata, Kankona, studying in RCC college, said, “It was a very overwhelming experience seeing their smiling faces and how cheerful they were was all very heartwarming. Being a part of AYUDH has only made it possible I am indeed grateful."

Amma always reminds us, that devotion and compassion towards the poor and the needy go hand in hand. This inspires Amma’s children to do selfless service for our society.
