Tree Plantation at Mangalore

“If we have not done any selfless acts, we should plant a tree or sapling, which would be a truly selfless deed, benefiting others and ourselves.” – AMMA (Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi) The second leg of the World Environment Day celebrations following the 1000 trees plantation pledge on June 5th, was organised by AYUDH, Mangaluru, the youth wing of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Mangalore jointly with devotees and Bharat Scouts & Guides of Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangalore under the able guidance of renowned Environmentalist and Green activist, Sri. Madhav Ullal. The members assembled at Pajjir Goshala, Konaje to plant 400 saplings in the first phase. The saplings were given by Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Mangalore. The Formal function had Sri Sri Yogiraj Nirmalanath Swami of Kadri Math; Sri Narendranath Yogishwareshwar, Sri Kshetra Marakada; Bri. Mangalamrta Chaitanya, Mathadipathi, Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Mangalore; Kadri Math Swamiji; Sri M B Puranik; Dr. Ananta Krishna Bhat; Dr. S N Bhat as the eminent guests who spoke on the occasion.
