AYUDH Odisha Seedball Dispersal -2

AYUDH Odisha Seedball Dispersal -2

Seed ball Tossing by AYUDH volunteers took place in the reserved forest areas of Odisha. Planting seed balls in erosion-prone areas helps stabilize the soil. As the plants grow, their root systems help bind the soil together, reducing erosion and preventing sediment runoff into waterways. By using native plant seeds in seed balls, it's possible to restore or enhance biodiversity in degraded ecosystems. Native plants are adapted to local conditions and support local wildlife, including pollinators and herbivores. The C20 SRC Project Global Seed Ball Challenge was a great community engagement activity executed in Bhubaneshwar city by AYUDH Bhubaneswar to raise awareness about environmental issues and fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility for local ecosystems. The reserved forest areas where the seed bombing done are Mendhasala, Cuttack, Khorda, Bhusandpur,Rameshwar, Nalsingh, Baleswar, Karnjia, Chilika, Hirakud and Baliguda.
Let's celebrate this remarkable initiative, nurturing and protecting our environment, one seedball at a time.
