Ayudh Delhi Volunteers Perform Street Play - Nukkad Natak

Ayudh Delhi Volunteers Perform Street Play - Nukkad Natak

Ayudh is all set to get on the streets!

We took on the issue of ‘Youth Depression’ and set out to make people aware about its prevalence within all levels of the society. This is a serious problem which is often ignored by family and friends, which further aggravates the detachment and alienation of the sufferer. Hence, it was an effort to pass on a social message to the public by using theatre, music and art as our medium.

‘Khulja Pyaare’ A Nukkad Natak (Street play) by Ayudhians, was aimed at getting up-close and personal with public. Enlightening them on how dangerous and prevalent the issue is. This was held on one evening in Select City Walk Mall, Saket, a popular hangout and shopping complex of South Delhi. Hundreds of people out of their homes for a normal shopping weekend, gathered around on hearing the drum beats once the show started. Passers-by turned around to see what the noise was about, only to realise that this was something very important and relevant. The crowd was excited and cheered as we performed with many coming up to shake our hand and enquire more about our initiatives. Finally, the spectators dispersed, returning to their homes that evening with a deep and meaningful message in their heart for their near and dear ones, KHULJA PYAARE!
