About Kerala Chapter

AYUDH has a strong presence across Kerala and has been actively involved in inspiring youth in the path of selfless service and organise and engage them in nation-building activities. There are more than 20 active AYUDH chapters spread across all the districts in Kerala. AYUDH Kerala volunteers are actively involved in all four focus areas of AYUDH namely Green Initiatives, Social Service, Personal Empowerment and Inter-cultural exchange. As a part of ‘Vishuthaineettam 2016’ initiative, more than 2 lakh vegetable saplings were distributed and the campaign was taken up by many celebrities from socio-cultural, political and entertainment arenas. As a pre-cursor to Amma’s 62nd birthday last year, Nalapamaram saplings were planted in more than 80 temples in Kerala. Volunteers have further demonstrated their commitment to nature preservation by organising Vriksha Rakshabandhan this year. Other flagship programs include Bharati (a women empowerment initiative), Yuva Jagruthi (National Youth Day) and Matru Vandanam (Independence Day). Apart from these flagship programs, volunteers are also actively involved in all the spiritual, social, cultural and disaster-relief activities being taken up by Mata Amritanandamayi Math.
